> Our products>MonileŽ

The component materials of MonileŽ are based on a polyacrylate copolymer modified, hydraulic binder, and carrefully graded, hard aggregate. They are pre-batched and quality controled in accordance with ISO 9001.

ADVANTAGES

Smooth, matt, monolith surface.
Non-toxic, solventless, nonflammable. There is no taint hazard and all component materials are incombustible.
Very high mechanical resistance. MonileŽ has higher all round strength than conventional floor surfaces, wich means that MonileŽ is excellent for areas of heavy truck and trolley traffic, and where resistance to high impact and heavy point loadings is required
High slip resistance. In wet areas, regular washdown locations, and areas soaked with blood, oil and grease, MonileŽ exhibits an extremely high slip resistance and ease of cleaning wich is maintained throughout the service life of the floor.
Chemical resistance. MonileŽ has excellent resistance to the diluted chemicals commonly used in the food industry. MonileŽ is not affected by alkalis such as caustic soda and potassium hydroxide, except in very concentrated form. Blood, sugars, urine and greases leave the MonileŽ totally unaffected. In specific cases, where a high chemical resistance is required, coating MonileŽ with MonepoxŽ AQ is advised.
Temperature stability. In operation, MonileŽ is stable at high and low temperatures. It is not affected by frost and is suitable for cold stores and for exposure to hot water and steam.
Safe and hygiene. The MonileŽ system fulfills all safety and hygiene requirements of the EEC Directives for the food industry. The heavy duty perimeter covings, kerbs and skirtings are an integral part of the MonileŽ system and provide for optimum protection and cleaning in these critical areas when the floor is in service.
Available in a selection of standard colours. natural grey, slate grey, platinium grey, red, buff, green and blue. Installed at a 10 mm thickness and mechanically compacted and power floated to give a hard dense, monolithic floor at a 10 mm finished thickness and weight of 26 kg/m˛.
Waterproof. MonileŽ has excellent impermeability and is not affected by washing, power scrubbing and high pressure steam cleaning. It can be supplemented with a compatible underlayment screed to provide drainage falls and improve surface flatness.

REFERENCES, TESTS AND CERTIFICATES

Since 1959, many millions of square meters of MonileŽ have been installed all over Europe, Africa, Middle East and the United States... Mainly in the meat industry and breweries, but also in many other areas of the food industry, and in the heavy mechanical and engineering industries.
Many of these floors are still in service today, having received very little or no maintenance at all.

Accross the world, independent laboratories and testing institutes have been asked to give an objective evaluation and assessment of MonileŽ.
The most important of these evaluations and assessments are:

Test report of CEBTP, France

Report from Orex in Belgium for the Artois breweries

Detailed report from the University of Belgrade

Extensive study made by the Institute of Budapest (Hungary)

Certificate of Conformity delivered by the U.S. States Departement of Agriculture

Extensive study made by the laboratories of the U.S. Navy

MonileŽ has also been certified and approved by Bureau Véritas.

INSURANCE BACKED GUARANTEES

An Insurance Backed Guarantee is available for the applied MonileŽ floor (for periods up to 10 years). Contact us for more details.

PRODUCTS IN THE MONILEŽ SYSTEM

MonileŽ PU:
A mortar based on polyurethane resins, especially developed for the food industry. It shows the same mechanical properties as standard MonileŽ combined with outstanding chemical resistance. MonileŽ PU is available in the same standard colours as MonileŽ and both types can be combined in the same area.
MonileŽ AQ:
A waterbased epoxy-emulsion wich can be applied on top of MonileŽ to give a higher chemical resistance. The MonileŽ surface is covered by a film wich makes it more suitable for dry areas in the food processing industry and for the mechanical industry.
